Staffing Update!
Dear City Church,
After a careful and prayerful search process, we are excited to introduce our new Director of Children’s Ministry: Katherine Malanoski!
She will begin her work at City Church on Tuesday, September 6th.
Katherine grew up in the PCA and is a University of Richmond alum with familial ties to both Richmond and City Church. She mostly recently served as a teacher at Washington Christian Academy, and her background includes study and work in the fields of education and theater.
To help you get to know Katherine a bit better, here are a few comments from members of the search committee:
“Katherine is energetic and dynamic, and her education background and classroom experience will be a huge blessing to Children’s Ministry at City Church. She will bring a fresh and outside perspective to our community, paired with humility and teachability.”
“Katherine is excited to work full-time in children's ministry, is willing to offer new ideas and suggest changes, and also seems open to feedback on her performance and ideas. She is personable and can cultivate friendships with people in different stages of life. She is moldable, trainable, and will do a lot of good in this role.”
“Katherine impressed me as being mature for her age, confident, and ready to dive in. She is open to new ideas and excited to learn more about City Church and use her skill set to serve our children, parents, and volunteers.”
We will formally introduce Katherine to the congregation at our worship service on September 11th. When you are able, please take a moment to introduce yourself and welcome her to City Church!
Stay well and do good.
