This Month's Prayer Needs: April
At City Church we strive to be a community of prayer dependent on God for His purpose, protection, and provision. Please join us in praying for these community members and partners this month.
EVERYDAY DOXOLOGISTS: FOOD SERVICE & RESTAURANT INDUSTRY WORKERS
Please pray for members of City Church who work in the food service and restaurant industry. Pray that they would: work with a Christ-like and humble attitude that reflects the Lord and impacts others; do all things as unto the Lord; find strength and joy each morning in order to carry out their tasks for the day; and ground themselves in truth, able and ready to give an answer to what they know to be true.
LOCAL MISSION: CROSSOVER HEALTHCARE MINISTRY
CrossOver Healthcare Ministry provides quality and compassionate health care to the uninsured in the greater Richmond Metropolitan area in the name of Jesus Christ. CrossOver offers a full continuum of health care services, operating two free clinics located in areas of identified need in Richmond. Please pray for CrossOver’s staff and volunteers as they provide care for those who need it most in the midst of a pandemic that is hitting vulnerable populations especially hard. Please join them in praising God for their ability to offer vaccines to those they serve. Pray for CrossOver’s patients—that the care they receive ultimately points them to the One who cares for them most. Additionally, as CrossOver is solely dependent upon the generosity of philanthropic minded donors, please pray for continued generosity from their supporters. GLOBAL MISSION: ROBBIE AND MINH LOAN IN VIETNAM
Robbie and Minh Loan McNerney are long-time City Church ministry partners currently living with their two young children in Vietnam. Robbie teaches Bible classes in local Vietnamese churches and supports new church plants in Ho Chi Minh City. Please pray for endurance and encouragement for Robbie and Minh Loan as they work alongside their Vietnamese brothers and sisters and regularly initiate conversations with neighbors about the person of Jesus. Please also pray for God to guide them in next steps of their ministry and for Robbie’s conversations with English partners to bring opportunities to explain his hope in Jesus.
MERCY & JUSTICE: UNITY
Echoing Jesus’s high priestly prayer where he asked that “they may become perfectly one” (John 17:23), please pray that the church across time and space would find unity through the Spirit. Pray that without diminishing our beautiful diversity and the varied gifts of God’s grace, we would find harmony in living together through our worship and work. Please pray that we would honor and value all who bear the image of God in this world.
