Short-Term Mission Trip

City Church is committed to regular short-term mission trips to visit our Ministry Partners. These trips strengthen our partnership in the gospel, provide great encouragement to our partners, and grow our understanding of God’s heart for global missions.

In late October of this year, City Church will send a group of 4-10 people to visit 2 of our ministry partners in Germany: Stephan Pues with Main Projekt in Frankfurt and Andre Meyer with Leipzig Projekt. Both of these partners are involved in planting churches and developing gospel movements in some of the most secular places in Europe: Frankfurt, the financial capital of the EU, and Leipzig, a cultural center in former East Germany. A group from City Church last visited Germany in the fall of 2023. Both Stephan and Andre visit Richmond annually, and this is part of how we sustain our friendship.

The primary purposes of the trip will be deepening our gospel partnership by learning about their ministry, praying for them, and offering practical support based on the specific gifts and interests of the City Church members who go on the trip.

Who should go? Anyone interested in furthering City Church’s relationship with these partners; people with a particular burden for gospel ministry in Germany; people with the desire to grow in their understanding of how to support the work of church planting in secular contexts; and people interested in creative ways to share the gospel with the unchurched and de-churched.

We will receive applications for the trip through the end of April — download the application here. Completed applications can be emailed to me (stephenday01@gmail.com).

If you are interested in learning more, please talk to me or one of the Missions Team members: Carl Meyer (carlrmeyer@gmail.com) , Jamie Mock (jamesmock5@gmail.com), or Jeremy Pryor (pryor16@gmail.com).
