At City Church we strive to be a community of prayer dependent on God for His purpose, protection, and provision. Please join us in praying for these community members and partners this month.

EVERYDAY DOXOLOGISTS: FINANCE PROFESSIONALS

Please pray that members of City Church who work in finance would: advise their clients with wisdom and insight; rely upon the Lord daily for security and strength; work honestly and with integrity; and invest their time, talents, and energy in serving the Kingdom of God.

LOCAL MISSION PARTNER: HANOVER YOUNG LIFE

Hanover Young Life is a community of leaders and volunteers reaching, loving, and sharing the good news of Christ with the students of Hanover County Public Schools. COVID has required the staff and volunteers of Hanover Young Life to work creatively to maintain connections with their students during 2020. Please join them in prayer for students in the Hanover community who are struggling with the isolation brought on by this pandemic. Please pray for the Hanover Young Life Leaders—pray that God provides them wisdom and endurance as they continue to reach out to students during this strange time. Please also pray that God bring forward additional leaders to serve this community of students. GLOBAL MISSION PARTNER: JENNA AND BOAZ OPENDUM

Jenna Opendun (formerly Murphy) is a City Church member and missionary serving in Fort Portal, Uganda through Serge with her husband, Boas. Jenna serves at Women of the Proverbs and Green Leaf Craft Studio where she teaches sewing skills and leads Bible studies. Jenna and Boas welcomed a baby boy in August: Boaz James Nile Opedun—he goes by Nile. Please join the Opeduns in praising God for the safe and healthy delivery of their son and pray for their continued adjustment to life as new parents as they continue their work in Fort Portal.
