At City Church we strive to be a community of prayer dependent on God for His purpose, protection, and provision. Please join us in praying for these community members and partners this month.
EVERYDAY DOXOLOGISTS: CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS
Please pray for members of the City Church community who work as customer service representatives. Pray that they: are provided with safe work environments during this pandemic; react with grace and patience to customers who are often impatient or dissatisfied; find a balance between working with diligence and building relationships to share the Gospel; maintain honesty and integrity in all interactions; and seek the Lord daily for strength and spiritual replenishment. Meanwhile, please be mindful of the need for us to show the customer service representatives we encounter that same grace, patience, and desire to live out and share the Gospel.
LOCAL MISSION PARTNER: RJI
RJI (Richmond Justice Initiative) is a non-profit organization of modern day abolitionists who use their gifts and talents in the battle against human trafficking. RJI mobilizes and educates communities and equips these communities to take action and effect change. Please join the RJI team in praying for guidance as they continue to hold their training programs online in the midst of the pandemic. Please pray for wisdom as the RJI team considers new ways to engage their team of volunteers, as in-person events are not possible at this time. Finally, with the economic uncertainty brought about by COVID, RJI has seen a decline in funding—please pray for sustained funding for their work and that God would put this issue on the hearts of those who have the resources to help. GLOBAL MISSION PARTNER: ROBBIE AND MINH LOAN IN VIETNAM
Robbie and Minh Loan are long-time City Church ministry partners currently living with their two young children in Vietnam. Robbie teaches Bible classes in local Vietnamese churches and supports new church plants in Ho Chi Minh City. Please pray for endurance and encouragement for Robbie and Minh Loan as they work alongside their Vietnamese brothers and sisters and regularly initiate conversations with neighbors about the person of Jesus. Please also pray for God to guide them in next steps of their ministry and for Robbie’s conversations with English partners to bring opportunities to explain his hope in Jesus.
