Lenten Resources for Families
This Lent, we encourage all of our families to spend time reflecting on our need of Jesus’ work on the cross to free us from our sin. In an effort to help parents lead their children in this reflection, City Church has put together a simple catechism you can use each day during this season of Lent—you can access a PDF version of it below, and we’ll also share them on Instgram. Each weekday will have one question and answer that you can review with your family. There will also be a Scripture text to go with each day which you can review with your household. None of this is mandatory of course! But we want to be sure to equip you to raise your children in the love of Christ. Use as much or as little of what follows as is helpful to you in your particular stage of life.
Also, don’t forget to take time to reflect on the weekly devotionals that will be emailed out to you and published here on our website. Though these are written with the adults in our congregation in mind, what you learn and reflect upon, could be of great benefit to your children as you share your thoughts with them during this season. We also encourage you to check out this wonderful podcast which has been produced for children. Throughout each week in Lent there will be new episodes published for you to listen to with your kids in the car or as you go about your day. I know that my girls loved their series this past Advent season and we look forward to growing together as we listen to We Wonder: Lent.
