Meet Your Summer 2016 Interns
We are excited to announce our Summer Interns for 2016! Our hope is that these internships will serve City Church by providing additional staff support to key areas of our ministry over the summer. These internships reflect our commitment to the continued development of leaders within the Church and for God’s Kingdom.

Julie Davis will serve as our Women's Ministry Intern. Julie came to Richmond from Cincinnati at age 19 to join the Richmond Ballet. Now she's the mother of two girls: Savannah who is almost two and Lydia who was born in October of last year. Julie has been attending City Church since July 2013 and became a member the following year. She'll spend her internship meeting and connecting women with each other (and Jesus!) and helping with the women's Bible study and other fun social events that are currently in the works.

We have two Men's Ministry Interns this summer: Seth Huffman and Ben MacKinnon.
Seth (who is from Roanoke) moved to Richmond from St. Louis in the summer of 2015, shortly before marrying Lauren, a fellow City Church member. He became a member of City Church in November 2015. He currently works as the Operations Manager at Fleet Feet Sports and will continuing seminary at Reformed Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. this August. This summer Seth will spend time meeting with and getting to know other men at City Church; facilitating the men's Bible study; serving our pastoral stuff; and focusing on his personal ministry development.
Originally from Delaware, Ben moved to Richmond to teach math at L.C. Bird High School in Chesterfield County where he taught for five years before beginning his graduate studies in Pure Mathematics–prayer request: he defends his thesis in December! Ben also currently works as an adjunct professor at John Tyler Community College. When he's not doing something mathematical, you can probably find him going on date with his wife, Kate; playing ultimate frisbee; disc golfing; working/riding on his motorcycle; and/or "feverishly growing [his] beard." His internship goal is to help put men's ministry infrastructure in place that will last throughout the year, including neighborhood Bible studies, prayer, and giving groups.

Last but certainly not least is Emily Osborne, our Children's Ministry Intern. Emily grew up in Northern Virginia and moved to Richmond in 2010 to attend VCU where she studied art and interior design. She fell in love with the city and decided to stay put after graduation. In addition to her search for a full-time job in the interior design industry, Emily owns her own business painting murals for children's areas and spends must of her time nannying and babysitting for several City Church families. This summer Emily will work with Jennifer Murphy and Jim Pulizzi (our soon-to-arrive Director of Children and Family Ministry) to plan our summer Vacation Bible School event and continue City Church's work in caring for our littlest members as they learn about Jesus.
