PREPARE & CONNECT
This Week's Sermon: Erik will give the annual "State of City Church" sermon this Sunday, focusing specifically on Genesis 2:1-17. We invite you to read ahead as a way to prepare for this week's service.
Be Known! Join a City Group! Your life is designed for relationships. The living room has stood alongside the sanctuary as a life-giving location for church life and the formation of friendships and community. At City Church we encourage everyone to embrace this by intentionally joining others in groups, learning how to live in God’s world faithfully. City Groups are groups of adults attending City Church and their friends who meet weekly for this purpose. All groups are open and City Group leaders can be contacted via the church website for more info. Questions? Email Joshua Earman at joshua@citychurchrva.com.
Leave it Better: Faith, Vocation, and the Mission of God: Our Sunday afternoon class this winter will explore how our work fits in with God’s purposes. This class will meet weekly for four weeks beginning on January 31st at 3pm in room 303 at Grace Covenant. Childcare is provided; please RSVP for childcare using this form by noon on the Friday before each session.
Caring for the Vaughans: For continued updates on how Rosalie Vaughan is doing with her treatment–and for ways we can all help care for her and her family–make sure to visit her CaringBridge site: www.caringbridge.org/visit/rosalievaughan. You will need to register with the site to see updates. Thank you for your continued prayer and support for the Vaughans!
