This Month's Prayer Needs: September

At City Church we strive to be a community of prayer dependent on God for His purpose, protection, and provision. Please join us in praying for these community members and partners this month.

EVERYDAY DOXOLOGISTS: STUDENTS

Please pray for all students— whether on the elementary school, middle school, high school, college, or graduate level—as they return to school, either in-person or virtually. Pray for them (and their families) during this time of adjustment. Pray that they would understand and know that they image God in the work they do every day. Pray that their experiences in their classes and school communities bear fruit, and that they embrace this period of their lives as a time to better understand the world and their places in it.

LOCAL MISSION PARTNER: YLFR

Youth Life Foundation of Richmond (YLFR) operates community-based Learning Centers to develop leaders through long-term investments in children. As local public schools get ready to begin the school year virtually, YLR will offer their learning centers as a space for students to provide students with in-person support with online learning. Please join them in prayer for this endeavour and ask God to lift up volunteers to assist in providing this much-needed support. For more information on YLFR, visit ylfr.org.

GLOBAL MISSION PARTNER: ROBBIE AND MINH-LOAN IN VIETNAM

Robbie and Minh Loan are long-time City Church ministry partners currently living with their two young children in Vietnam. Robbie teaches Bible classes in local Vietnamese churches and supports new church plants in Ho Chi Minh City. Please pray for endurance and encouragement for Robbie and Minh Loan as they work alongside their Vietnamese brothers and sisters and regularly initiate conversations with neighbors about the person of Jesus. Please also pray for God to guide them in next steps of their ministry and for Robbie’s conversations with English partners to bring opportunities to explain his hope in Jesus.
